1973 Ford Capri RS3100 - ex-works Cologne / Broadspeed car - Belgian championship winner

Built for Ford Motor Company ltd, by specialists Broadspeed ahead of the 1973 season, BFC 002 was Initially powered by a three-litre Weslake engine, where it was driven to victories in the Belgian Touring Car Championship by Claude Borgoignie (with the Ford BP Racing Team). Later in 1973, it was also used in the RAC Tourist Trophy at Silverstone by Andy Rouse.

For the 1974 season, it was used by Bo Emanuelson, who took it to regular wins in the Swedish Touring Car Championship under the STP Ford Team banner. At the end of 1974 season, it was shipped to Ford Cologne where it was rebuilt with the latest 3.4-litre specification engine and works Cologne RS3100 modifications, as it remains today.

Chassis BFC 002 was then raced throughout Europe by Ford until it was acquired by Vince Woodman in 1976. Woodman then used used it in Super Saloons and in the 1985/86 Thundersaloons Championships.

Woodman would continue to race the car sparingly in historic events through to 2012.

In recent years the car has been raced and maintained with no expense spared, winning across Europe.

One of the rarest, most original and exceptional racing saloons available anywhere in the world, and the star of any saloon grid. There are only four genuine Cologne Capris in the world - the three factory 1974 ETCC cars and this car. It is also unique in being right-hand-drive.
