2014 AUDI R8 LMS GT3 ULTRA - OVERALL AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER

2014 AUDI R8 LMS GT3 ULTRA - OVERALL AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER

The factory-built Audi R8 LMS GT3 is the most successful GT3 competition car in history with overall wins in the Spa 24hr, Nürburgring 24hr, Bathurst 12hr and all other major international long-distance races all over the world. It is also a multiple championship-winning model and winner of more races than any other GT3 car.

This particular car, chassis AS42A05GT3150709 is one of the most important R8s in both GT3 and Audi company history. Not only did the car win the Australian GT Championship but it is the last ever 'Gen 1' Audi R8 LMS built by Audi – sent to Australia by the factory with their prized works driver Christopher Mies to win the Australian GT Championship, which he and the car did on their first attempt. The "Green Eyed Monster" was the dominant force all season against the very best drivers and teams in the Southern Hemisphere, winning three of the five rounds.

Meis had just won Nürburgring 24 when they sent him out to dominate in Australia, and he is one of the all-time great Audi R8 drivers. He has an incredible racing record, in particular with Audi as a works driver, including: 2008 ADAC Procar Series champion, 2009 FIA GT3 European Champion, 2011 & 2012 Bathurst 12 Hour winner, 2012 Blancpain Endurance Series Champion, 2015, 2017, 2024 24 Hours Nürburgring winner, 2015 Australian GT Champion, 2012 & 2021 ADAC GT Masters Champion.

The car requires a crack-test, tank, safety equipment, and a race-prep, but is otherwise low mileage and an ideal potential race-winner in GT3 Legends or GT3 Revival. If you're not ready to race, but want the coolest, green-lit, historically important Audi works GT3 car, this is also the car for you!
