1977 Porsche 935 K2 - Ex-Kremer, Le Mans, Daytona, double Benelux Champion

Chassis ‘0903’ was the second K2 built and was immediately pressed into action with Kremer Racing at the 1977 Daytona 24hr. Driven by Joest, Wollek and Krebs, it came 2nd overall.

1977 would see another podium at the Silverstone 6hr World Sports Car round, with Wollek and Fitzpatrick, before it tackled the Le Mans 24hr.

In its Demin/Rizla/Penthouse livery, the Kremer 935 of Fitzpatrick, Edwards, Faure would DNF due to an engine issue.

Further podiums in DRM Div.1 were achieved that year at Zolder, Nürburgring and Norisring.

For 1978 the car was sold to Belgian racer Claude Bourgoignie and Team Willeme, who would go onto win the Benelux GT Championship twice in 1978 and ‘79, winning an incredible 20 races overall in the car.

During those years, the car wore stunning liveries including Marlboro and Pepsi Gauloises… pictured here.

Today the car is almost zero miles since rebuild and has an unbroken and clear ownership history.

The Porsche 935 is the most successful of all the Group 5 GT cars, and was such an incredible weapon that it managed to win Le Mans overall… a must-have model for all great Porsche collections.
