ROFGO Racing heads to Texas.
ROFGO Racing this week head to Austin, Texas for the inaugural 24hours of COTA. Campaigning their Mercedes Benz AMG GT GT3 Car in the famous Gulf oil livery. They will field an unchanged driver line up following on from this years Paul Ricard 24hours.
Team owner Roald Goethe is joined by regular team mate, official ROFGO Driver and 2013 FIA World Endurance GTEAM Champion Stuart Hall, Sports Car veteran and also 2013 FIA World Endurance GTEAM Jamie Campbell-Walter and Ex Peugeot LMP1 Factory Driver, French superstar Nicolas Minassian.
Goethe, fresh from a podium finish in last weekends UAE GT Championship race at Yas Marina commented, ‘I’m thrilled to be heading to Texas with ROFGO Racing. The team have been working very hard in preparation for the race, our Mercedes AMG GT GT3 is a fantastic car, I’m very much looking forward to the event.’
Hall commented, ‘I’ve got great memories of winning with Jamie at the Circuit of the Americas in the World Endurance Championship. It’s fantastic to come back with our own team. We have a super bunch of guys at ROFGO Racing, we all can’t wait to get stuck in and take the fight to our competitors.’
ROFGO Racing team manager, James Chown commented. ‘There has been a great amount of effort behind the scenes this season at ROFGO Racing. We showed in Paul Ricard we have the pace to compete right at the sharp end, we head to Texas well prepared and ready for what will be a very tough 24hour race’
The COTA 24 hours takes place at 9am local time on Saturday 11th November. There is a Brief intervention at 11pm. The race will restart at 8am on the 12th November concluding at 6pm the same day.
